This snuff turned out to be a most unexpected pleasure for me! Maccoboy is about as far removed from an American dry scotch as you can get. It's quite a dark brown and of a medium to coarse grind and the biggest surprise was how moist it is. It's very easy on the nose, having little burn and the flavour has similarities with some of the Bernard non-Schmalzlers, like Pariser Nr. 2 and Civette. This would suggest a blend of different tobaccos. The flavouring is rose and most enjoyable it is too. A snuff not to be missed (unless you hate roses of course!).
